The
Solomon R. Guggenheim Museum is probably best known for the building that houses it. Designed by Frank Lloyd Wright. the building is an inverted ziggurat that makes traveling through the Guggenheim Museum intuitive and easy without the need to retrace ones steps. Inside the Guggenheim, visitors can enjoy a variety of modern art and architecture exhibits, as well selections from the Guggenheim Museum's permanent collection.

On Tuesday, February 7, 2012, there will be a ticker-tape parade for the Super Bowl XLVI Champions New York Giants. The parade will begin at Battery Place and Washington Street and continue north up the Canyon of Heroes to Worth Street. At a ceremony following the parade Mayor Bloomberg will present the NY Giants with the Keys to the City.
The parade will begin at 11 a.m., but for best viewing, attendees should plan to arrive by 8 a.m. The sidewalks along Broadway from the Battery to City Hall will be open to the public, but space at City Hall Plaza will be reserved for Giants friends and family, as well as a few fortunate ticket holders.
In the past, there have been scams where tickets have been sold for access to the parade, floats, and or ceremony. There are no tickets being sold for these events and ceremony tickets are not for resale. The lottery for ceremony tickets is over.
Tips for Attending the Giants Ticker-Tape Parade:
- Take public transit!
- Best Subways to the Parade Route: 4/5 to Bowling Green, Wall Street or Fulton Street
N/R to Rector St or Cortlandt St
- Closest PATH Train: World Trade Center
- Arrive early for best views -- probably by 8 a.m.
- Those attending the ceremony in City Hall Plaza probably won't be able to watch the parade
- Should be a clear, sunny day. But dress to stay warm while you wait for the parade to start.
- Be prepared for crowds and the usual parade chaos.
