The Pickle Guys

Monday June 16, 2003
In Manhattan's Lower East Side, The Pickle Guys offer a range of delicious pickles for you to try.

Quarts of pickles packed to order from barrels are $5.25. On offer are new pickles; 1/2, 3/4 and full sour pickles; spicy pickles and even pickled tomatoes and marinated mushrooms. If you just want a pickle to go, they are 2 for $1. The new pickles have a fresh crunch contrasting the garlicy pickled flavor and the spicy full sour pickles pack some heat. Shipping is available on their web site. Enjoy!

I was down by the Pickle Guys’ store last month. One of the guys was out front wearing a gas mask because he was grinding up horseradish – what a site! I ordered a gallon of half sour pickles which was crispy and delicious. Al, the owner, was very friendly and offered excellent service – he gave me some of their almond stuffed olives which tasted very good. It was an overall fun shopping experience.
