Tribeca Film Festival

Thursday April 27, 2006
The 5th Annual Tribeca Film Festival is going on now through May 7, 2006. There are still individual ticket available for screenings and panels that can be purchased online, by phone and in person. Even if a particular show is sold out, you can still get tickets through door sales.

Last night we went to see Akeelah and the Bee --a wonderfully heartwarming film, and one of our highlights in the TFF's Showcase Category. We even got to hear a few words from the director and one of the film's stars before the film began.

With over 250 films being shown during the Tribeca Film Festival, it can be overwhelming to make choices, so we've put together some Tribeca Film Festival Highlights to help you narrow down your selections. We've also assembled some Tribeca Film Festival Tips and Advice to make your Tribeca Film Festival experience the best it can be.

Tried to join in the film festival’s activities and it appeared rather disorganized. The booklet had wrong information and you could determine which theatre to go to for a film. When I arrived at one line they left people standing in line without informing them of their prospect of getting into the theatre. Was disappointing to say the least - need clear directions. For example, when I went to the main ticket office they told me I had to buy a ticket at the theatre - well that was for a same day ticket, but they didn’t explain that to anyone…really confusing and disorganized.
