After a successful run in London's West End (including 9 Best Musical awards), performances of Billy Elliot: The Musical, will begin on Broadway on October 1, 2008. Based on the popular movie, the musical follows a young boy as he uncovers his talent for dance and overcomes the social stigma of being a boy who dances where the other boys are interested in boxing.
