Speed-The-Plow Opens on Broadway
Tuesday October 28, 2008
A revival of Speed-the-Plow, David Mamet's play about Hollywood greed, opened on Thursday night starring Jeremy Piven (Entourage), Raśl Esparza, and Elisabeth Moss (Mad Men). Despite the fact that Mamet's play first opened in 1988, the story and tone of Speed-the-Plow feel incredibly current. (I'm sure that the "Maverick" references probably didn't get such big laughs in the original production.) If you're looking for a play to check out on Broadway this season, Speed-the-Plow is a great choice.
