The American Museum of Natural History routinely hosts discussions, workshops and events that build upon both the permanent and special exhibits at the Museum.

This January there are several events geared toward families with children, including Wild, Wild World: Wolves where children can meet an Arctic gray wolf on January 23, 2010 while learning about the importance of wolves to the ecosystem.

AMNH's adult programs cover a range of topics, from the space and science related talks that you would expect to more diverse ones such as food (consider Curry Economics on January 14, 2010 featuring a moderated discussion about the role food plays in economic development) and even perfume (like Aromatics Along the Silk Road on January 20, 2010).
