Irish Music and Performances on St. Patrick's Day

The Chieftains

Celebrate St. Patrick's Day by catching this Irish folk group performing at Carnegie Hall. Always a sell-out, the Chieftains perform annually in the area and dazzle audiences with their fiddle, bodhran drum, and Irish harp. Six-time Grammy winners, the Chieftains are responsible for the increased mainstream interest in traditional Irish music.

St. Patrick's Weekend Irish New York
Sunday, March 15, 2008 1 p.m.
Join Big Onion Walking Tours for their Irish New York Tour. The tour covers the former Little Ireland district of Lower Manhattan, between Chatham Square and Houston Street. Old St. Patrick's Cathedral, Al Smith's childhood home and the former sites of Tammany Hall and the Five Points slum will be included. No reservations necessary.
