Guide Review - STOMP: New York City Theater Review
The Orpheum Theatre is a rather small theater that seats 347 (amazingly) and has been the home for the brilliant performance of STOMP since 1994. STOMP is an amazing and humorous show with an eccentric cast that do not utter one word yet perspire individuality. With the combination of facial expressions, body movements, along with few things that you can easily find around your house. This cast communicates scenes in the universal language of rhythm and sound. They are constantly in motion, sweeping floors, swinging from above the stage as they hit and bang on everything in site.

The cast challenge each other as they unify and layer beats that sort of make you forget they are making music from toilet plungers, Zippo lighters, garbage can lids, plastic bags, boxes of matches, rubber tubes, newspapers, water; everything…even the kitchen sink!

The incredible energy of these talented performers is contagious, I could hardly resist banging my feet and clapping my hands, I also had the urge to go home and make music with just about everything in my apartment. Luckily they allow you to participate throughout the show. Truly an enjoyable performance.
