WHAT ELSE: Simply Barbra (MAC Award, Bistro Award) has played to standing room audiences since it first hit the New York cabaret scene in 1993. Since then, Brinberg has performed at venues around the world where critics have praised his remarkable transformation and showmanship. Simply Barbara has been called “witty and musically enjoyable” by The Washington Post. The Sydney Morning Herald praised “his impeccable timing (and) skill in creating an illusion is masterful…his version of Evergreen is almost as luminous as Streisand herself.” The Miami Herald marveled at how Simply Barbra “beautifully blurs the line between tribute act and parody, cabaret and comedy. His take on the Streisand standards is eerily exact.”

Simply Barbra just completed a sold out tour of the UK and the West End following record breaking runs at London’s Playhouse and Jermyn Street theatre. He has toured Australia twice and appeared in Hong Kong, Singapore and at The Edinburgh Festival. He recently made his Broadway debut in a concert of Funny Girl featuring Whoopi Goldberg. Other U.S. performance venues include The Walnut Street Theatre (Philadelphia), Bay Street Theatre (Sag Harbor), Theater Lab Houston; New Conservatory Theatre (San Francisco), The Cinegrill (Los Angeles), Davenport’s (Chicago), The Colony Theatre (Miami Beach), The Colony Hotel (Palm Beach), Sheldon Hall (St. Louis), The Taj Mahal Hotel and Casino (Atlantic City) and The Mohegan Sun Casino (Connecticut). He will also be appearing in November at one of New York City’s newest hotspots, Mama Roses’.

In addition, Brinberg has appeared as a guest artist at Marvin Hamlisch’s performances in Pittsburgh and Washington D.C., and alongside Nathan Lane and Audra McDonald at The Library of Congress concert honoring Stephen Sondheim’s 70th Birthday.
