Guide Review - Corner Bistro
If you're looking for a great burger in the West Village, this is one of the best you'll find. Although some complain that they prefer a better bun to hold up against the burger, I have a weakness for the slightly soft hamburger buns that are overwhelmed by the juices of the burger. Their fries ($2) are thin and crispy, which makes them worth the indulgence. I like my burgers rare, and this is definately a place that obliges you. Service is practically non-existant, though they will refill your beer if they notice it's empty. Beware, if smoking bothers you, you might want to head there at slower times, because it can definately be a crowded, smokey place -- but for some reason, that just seems to add to the atmosphere.
