Guide Review - Frank
The quality and value of Frank's Italian food more than compensate for the weaknesses. Appetizers are outstanding: generous portions of beef carpaccio and Italian antipasto($11.95) featured thinly sliced meats, delicious seasoning and tasty arucola; mussels($8.95) were served in a flavorful red sauce that demands sopping up with bread and the portion was enough for a main course or sharing. Except on one occassion, pasta dishes have been cooked perfectly, and gnocchi($9.95), rigatoni al ragu($9.95) and porcini ravoli($11.95) were delicious. My only complaints about Frank are that smoking is allowed and the feeling of being rushed while dining, but knowing that, if you want a slower paced meal, order main courses when appetizers are done.
