Guide Review - Le Madri

Le Madri is both unpretentious and a fine restaurant. It's a little piece of Tuscany, with a spacious dining room that is also cozy -- and feels reminiscent of an Italian kitchen, offset against elegant table settings and plush furniture. We started with Rustica -- figs stuffed with Gorgonzola cheese wrapped in prosciutto($15). A light and velvety sweet-sausage risotto followed, a special. The menu varies seasonally but the rack of lamb served with wax beans and buttermilk mash potatoes, ($30) and the wood oven roasted chicken, served with a tossed salad ($22) both seem like year round staples. Dessert was delicious chocolate gelato submerged in espresso.
