Murray's sells over 250 different varieties of cheese -- including over a dozen goat cheeses, bries, fresh mozzarella and riccotta. Their selection represents cheeses from around the world -- from France, Portugal and Holland to Italy, Ireland and the British Isles.
As well as stocking some of the most amazing cheeses in the city, Murray's has specialty groceries, fresh breads, olives, antipasto and charcuterie for sale. It amazes me every time how much they manage to squeeze into such a small space. If you're looking for a snack, pick a cheese and perhaps some olives that appeal to you. I adore the d'affinois ($10.99/pound), which is similar in consistancy to a brie, but has a milder flavor. The Green Cerignola olives ($8.99/pound) are also personal favorite of mine -- bright green, these early harvest olives are a treat. Buy a cheese or two to take with you (they'll let you try a bite or make a suggestion if you're not sure what to pick) and we'll pick up some bread to go with it on our next stop.
