Wear your costume and bring your carved pumpkin for this annual event at the Dana Discovery Center. - Spider Crafts: Thursday, October 27, 2011 from 2-4 p.m.

5. Gotham City Ghost Tour by NYC Discovery Walking Tours
Come on this walking tour of the historic, infamous, eerie and macabre of Greenwich Village history. You'll see the spooky cemetery at St Marks; the hanging elm, a 19th century execution site; the home of Edgar Allan Poe; and the burial ground at Washington Square. Tickets: $18-20. 6. Halloween Murder Mystery at the Mount Vernon Hotel Museum & Garden
In this fictional mystery game an unidentified skeleton has been discovered in the Mount Vernon Mansion; hidden for 100 years under the floorboards. Who was killed? Was it an accident? It’s up to you to crack this cold case. Solve puzzles and collect clues as you play detective. The perfect game for adults or families with kids 8 and up. Friday, October 28th and Saturday, October 29th, 2011 at 6:30 & 7:30 PM $25 Adults, $10 Kids under 12, $15 Members.
7. Steampunk Haunted House
The winding corridors, backstage, and other spaces of the Abrons Arts Center at the Henry Street Settlement will be converted into a series of Victorian, sci-fi environments: clockwork spiders, steam-engine cyborgs and mad scientists. It's designed to showcase performance and movement in visually lush settings while utilizing the maze-like theater to frighten audiences. The Steampunk Haunted House will run Saturday & Sunday, October 22-23 and Wednesday-Monday, October 26 - 31, 2011. People will buy tickets in 15-minute intervals and take 20-minute tours through the Playhouse. Children under 8 will not be admitted. It is family-friendly in that no violence, blood or gore will be used to terrify our audiences -- only Hitchcockian suspense and dread.
