1. Boo at the Bronx Zoo
This annual Halloween celebration is held on weekends from October 10-November 1, 2009 and is geared toward children and families. Halloween activities include face painting, storytelling, pumpkin painting and more. Aside from hayrides ($3), the Boo Zoo Shuttle, food and drink, all activities are included with the cost of admission.
2. Morning of the Gargoyles at St. John the Divine
Visit St. John the Divine on Halloween for a morning of spooky fun! The morning begins with a reading of Eve Bunting's Night of the Gargoyles, then down to the workshop to assemble gargling, grimacing clay gargoyles, skeleton creatures, and paper gargoyle masks. 3. Queens Farm Haunted House
October 24, 25, and 31, 2009 from 4-7 p.m. you can visit the Queens County Farm Haunted House. This haunted house is appropriate for children ages 4-12. Admission is $4 and hayrides are $2. Halloween treats, mulled cider, pumpkins and apples also for sale. The Queens County Farm also has a Children's Fall Festival on Sunday, October 25 from 11 a.m.-4 p.m.4. CMA celebrates Halloween this year on Saturday, October 31, 2009 with projects like pumpkin sculptures, face-painting, a collaborative spiderweb mural and more!
