About The Jewish Museum:

Founded in 1904, the Jewish Museum features permanent and temporary exhibits that help both Jews and non-Jews connect to Jewish values and traditions. The Jewish Museum has been in its current home along Museum Mile since 1947, and its permanent collection features over 26,000 items making it the largest and most important collection of its kind in the world.

In addition to a variety of special exhibitions, the Jewish Museum features two permanent exhibitions. Spanning two floors and featuring 800 objects from the Museum's collection Culture and Continuity: The Jewish Journey strives to illustrate and examine the evolution of the Jewish experience over 4,000 years. For younger visitors, the Archaeology Zone: Discovering Treasures from Playgrounds to Palaces allows children to play archeologist, as they dress up, dig for artifacts and explore this interactive exhibit.

Admission to the Jewish Museum includes daily docent-led tours through selected exhibits, lasting 45 minutes each. The Jewish Museum offers a variety of programs, including lectures, workshops and screenings to enhance the museum's exhibits.
