New Year's Eve is a great chance to see some exciting concerts and performances in New York City. From Madison Square Garden and Lincoln Center to the Blue Note and B.B. Kings, many of New York City's top venues host great acts on New Year's Eve.

New York Philharmonic New Year's Eve with Audra McDonald

Welcome the New Year with class at Lincoln Center featuring the New York Philharmonic with Audra McDonald at Avery Fisher Hall. Tickets are $82-235 and the show begins at 8 p.m.

Cassandra Wilson at the Blue Note on New Year's Eve

Chris Botti will perform two sets (7 and 10 p.m.) on New Year's Eve at the Blue Note.

Sandra Bernhard at Joe's Pub on NYE

Tickets are $85-125 ($100-150 after November 23) for this New Year's Eve Celebration at Joe's Pub with 2 sets, one at 7:30 and one at 10:30 p.m. Joe's Pub will also have a New Year's Eve afterparty featuring cult drag star Dina Martina ($30/$40 day of).

Lyricists Lounge New Year's Eve Party at Joe's Pub

Tickets are $85 ($100 after December 25) for this New Year's Eve party featuring an open bar and music by DJ Evil Dee & DJ Trauma.

James Brown on New Year's Eve at B.B. King's Blues Club and Grill

James Brown will perform on New Year's Eve at B.B. Kings Club and Grill. Tickets are $85-200 and the set begins at 8 (doors at 6 p.m.)

Bargemusic New Year's Eve Concert

Hear Bach's Brandenburg Concertos and be perfectly positioned to catch the fireworks over the harbor at midnight after the concert is over. Concert begins at 7 p.m. and tickets are $125.

Moe at Radio City Music Hall on New Year's Eve

Usher in the New Year with Moe's show at Radio City Music Hall beginning at 9 p.m. on New Year's Eve. The show will feature two sets and last 5 hours for $52.50 per ticket.

New Year's Eve Concert for Peace at St. John The Divine

The annual New Year's Eve Concert for Peace begins at 7 p.m. and the New Year's Eve Midnight Eucharist service starts at 11:00 p.m. at St. John the Divine. St. John the Divine is located on Manhattan's Upper West Side.

Big Apple Circus

This is a great choice for families on New Year's Eve in New York City. Performance begins at 9:30 p.m. on New Year's Eve. Tickets $45 - $125.

Patti Smith and her band at the Bowery Ballroom

The New Year's eve countdown at midnight will include a champagne toast and be led by Patti Smith at the Bowery Ballroom. Doors open at 9 p.m. and tickets are $55.

New Year's Eve at Gotham Comedy Club

Ring in The New Year with laughter featuring Louis Ramey, Gregg Rogell, William Stephenson, Lenny Marcus & Jon Fisch.

New Year's Eve at Caroline's on Broadway

Enjoy comedy in Times Square (with a chance of being allowed to sneak out to watch the ball drop in Times Square) at Caroline's for $92 per person.

New Year's Eve at Galapagos Art Space

Ring in the New Year sexy-style with The Peach Tartes burlesque troupe. Performances feature a mix of classic burlyQ style and 21st Century sass. Galapagos Art Space is located in Williamsburg, Brooklyn and the show is from 8pm - 1am, with a $30 cover at the door.
