Turtle Pond

Another feature of Central Park which was not part of the original design, Turtle Pond is a popular habitat for turtles, aquatic birds, fish, frogs, and dragonflies. Located at the base of Belvedere Castle, and just north of the Great Lawn, Turtle Pond looks like a natural part of the park's landscape.
