Top national music acts perform in Bryant Park on Friday mornings

Good Morning America Concert Series Schedule

On Friday mornings from May through August, Good Morning America hosts live performances in Bryant Park. Access to the concerts is free and available on a first-come, first-served basis as space allows.

If you want to attend the concerts you are encouraged to arrive at Bryant Park before 7 a.m. The line to enter Bryant Park forms near the fountain, on 41st and 6th Avenue. The closest subway to Bryant Park is the 7 or B/D/F/V to Bryant Park/5th Avenue.

The performances run from 8:30 - 9:00 a.m., and there are typically 3-4 songs performed during this time.

Tips:

  • If you want to get a good spot, you should arrive at Bryant Park about 1 hour early (6 a.m.) depending on the popularity of the act and the weather.
  • If there is space available, they sometimes allow entry up until the performance begins at 8:30 a.m.
  • Move around to find a good spot -- the stage is located on the steps at the library end of Bryant Park, so it's not very high up for viewing from far away, especially if you're short.

Things to Bring:

  • Plenty of water (don't get dehydrated!)
  • Bring your camera -- photos make a great souvenir from seeing a performance in Bryant Park
  • Comfortable shoes -- you'll be standing for quite a while
  • Some friends or a book to read -- there's lots of waiting
