Love the Frick
- The Frick museum is a fav. I love soaking up the period architecture and furniture in addition to viewing the exquisite paintings. You get a feeling of NYC's grand history. Don't miss Bellini's St Francis in Ecstasy.

Be a tourist!
- I love having people visit NYC because I get to spend time exploring with them. It's easy to plan a day here for pretty much anybody's taste. Our old standbys: walks in NYBG after breakfast (any time of year), compline service at Cathedral of St. John the Divine, Max Soha cafe on Amsterdam Ave and getting show tickets in Time Square at TKTS.

favorite thing to do in nyc
- grab dinner downtown, like benny's burrito's which is laid back and tex mex. then ride the subway and jet up to midtown. walk into the theatre, sit yourself down, get swept away. emerge from the theatre a little changed a coupla hours later. roll into some bar on ninth avenue; have a drink. and then head off to bed.

Visit the Metropolitan Museum of Art
- I have only been to New York once (sigh) but if I am ever able to return, I will visit the Met again. I just got to see a bit of it when I was there and it only whetted my appetite for more - I could spend a week there!

Saturdays in Spring
- My fondest memories of NYC involve wandering leisurely around the West Village on a warm Spring weekend - a glass of wine and oysters at Fish - then window shopping in Soho.

Mango Salad
- My favorite thing to do is eat mango salad at Sripraphai in Queens, aka the best Thai restaurant in the city, especially with my lovely friends who know what to order.

Great Thing to Do in NYC
- Take a walk. I walked with routes set by AVA clubs there and enjoyed the 10K routes and everything I saw immensely. ava.org is the website for the organization. You can search under New York for map guided walks available.

staten island ferry
- I don't think you can go wrong with the Staten Island Ferry. The price is right, you'll see some amazing views of the city and you get a little bit of flavor of 'real' New Yorkers heading home after a long day of work. I always tell people to go right around dusk, so you get to see the lights of the city come up.
